The Most Important Things to Remember for your Workout..

The beginning of a new year is the perfect time to start a new work out regime and after a stressful year for everyone, we’re all in need of some relief going into 2021. Some people may be looking to start a new routine at the gym (if they're open!!) whilst others will be planning ahead with renewed vigour for some new home workouts. The importance of exercise for your physical and mental health can’t be understated and there are some important aspects to remember to ensure that you are working out at the optimum level.

Stay Hydrated

The impact hydration has on our life is incredible, so it is vital that we stay hydrated all day and not just during our workouts. Up to 60% of the human body is water, so it is important to be able to properly maintain that amount and regulate our bodies. Keeping hydrated also helps us to focus, meaning you are able to concentrate better whilst working out.

It’s common knowledge that when we sweat, our bodies lose more fluids. If you are working out, then chances are that you will be losing even more fluids than usual, so it is important to combat this by replenishing the extra fluids and drinking more water.

If you are dehydrated, the amount of blood circulating through your body decreases. This can cause strain on your heart, as your body will try and compensate for the slower blood flow by making your heart beat faster. This is why when working out it is so important to ensure you are drinking plenty of fluids.

It’s clear just how important staying hydrated is for our general health as well as whilst working out, so remember to drink more water in 2021!

Manage Joint Health

It is important that your joints remain healthy whilst working out, as over working them can result in joint pain or long term damage. It is important to keep your joints lubricated as without it, your bones can rub together and create friction which damages your joints, causing them to become sore or uncomfortable. It is possible that omega 3 can help with any joint pain, improving blood flow to your joints. Omega 3 capsules like Cleanmarine For Women or any other sources of omega 3 will provide you with essential fatty acids that can also help improve your bone strength as well as lubricating joints.

Remember to Breathe!

It is vital to properly rest in between sets whilst working out and giving yourself a chance to breathe properly is part of that. Of course, you always need to breathe, but it can sometimes become a habit to hold your breath whilst stretching or straining without even realising, therefore it is important to remember to breathe!

Breathing exercises are a good idea for a cool down after you have worked out as they can help to bring your heart rate down and help you to relax after an intense workout. If you want some help with breathing (we know that might sound silly) then there are different courses of apps like State.

So, if you are planning on starting a new workout routine in the new year, remember these three key points: stay hydrated, look after your joints and remember to breathe!

Here’s to a healthy 2021!
